Snowboard Boots
Many people try to rush through the boot fitting process when it just may be the most important piece of snowboarding equipment that you’ll buy. Ensuring that you have a proper boot fit will allow you to have a great day of riding on the mountain – a poor-fitting boot, though, is guaranteed to cause misery and (literally) aches and pains.
Snowboard boot fitting tips:
When trying on boots you want a snug fit in the ankle with just a little wiggle room for your toes. You can test the heel hold by lacing up the boot tight, then stand on your toes and check if the heel of the boot rises off the ground. You'll know it's not a proper fit if you can lift your heel. Keep in mind that during a day of riding your feet can swell up a half a size bigger, so trying on boots is best done after you have been on your feet all day or after some physical activity.
