Mens Snowboards
Deciding what kind of snowboard is perfect for you means answering a couple of basic questions:
1. What kind of terrain do I like to ride? ( Park, Groomers, Back country, All mountain)
2. What is my ability? ( beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
These questions will help you narrow down your shopping to finding a specific board type.
Pipe & park:
You will find that park boards generally feature “twin” board design. This means that the nose and the tail of the board are almost identical.
Groomers & cruisers:
Most boards intended for cruising groomed trails will be more directional with deeper side cuts to allow you to make quick turns while maintaining downhill speed.
Back country, trees, and glades:
Back country boards tend to lean toward a directional shape with a bigger tip to allow the board to float on top of the snow in deep conditions. You should be able to ride any part of the mountain on boards made for the back country.
